About

Studio

Tamara Mazurenko has focused for several years on painting still lives, inspired by the beauty of everyday objects in ordinary life. She is particularly drawn to the vibrant fragility and sensuality of flowers, searching for ways to translate this into oil paint and into colour relationships.

She started to paint at a young age encouraged by the Ukrainian artist and poet Hala Mazurenko, who was her grandmother. Her foundation studies in art took place at Sydney Place in Bath, followed by a Fine Art degree in painting at Falmouth School of Art and she has lived in Cornwall for the last 15 years, where she currently works in her studio based in West Cornwall, England.
